《The video starts and the song “Post-Post-Apocalyptic Dance Party” written by mxmtoon is played. In a living room type environment, a woman with long dark hair wearing a red blouse (mxmtoon) is playing with a LEGO set.》
mxmtoon:
I just naturally would love to have everything be a LEGO music video.
《A clapperboard is shown and clapped in the studio. The scene then changes to the animated world of “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™”. mxmtoon appears as a LEGO minifigure, and walks with her back to the audience along a path lined with grass and trees.》
《The screen transitions back to the studio, to an interview with a man in a black t-shirt.》

Ben McCaw:
Today we're hanging out with mxmtoon.
We're making a music video featuring her song from “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™”.

《In the middle of the interview while the interview audio is playing, the scene switches to an animated scene from the music video. The characters from “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™” and mxmtoon LEGO minifigure are dancing in a nighttime dance party environment.》
mxmtoon:
When you listen to the song, it's pretty much begging you to do some sort of animated music video.
You can just see like all the figures like doing the little LEGO dances together.

DIRECTOR / PIXOMONDO
《In the middle of the interview while the interview audio is playing, the scene switches to an animated scene from the music video. The LEGO minifigures from the previous nighttime dance party are dancing. The scene shows Aloy from “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™” and mxmtoon LEGO minifigure, along with other characters and machines dancing together.》
Josh Toonen:
The song is “Post-Post-Apocalyptic Dance Party” so we're trying to add in the fun, lively animation of these little characters dancing along to the music.
And also, all of the machines that have come along to this dance party.
Everyone from the world of LEGO Horizon Adventures has come together and having a great time.
《The scene transitions back to mxmtoon who begins to speak.》
mxmtoon:
The very first moment that I started writing “Post-Post-Apocalyptic Dance Party”, I was sitting in my grandma's living room in Florida.
I was just so excited to like, have the opportunity to write a song that felt inspired by a character that I've grown to really love, and it just felt really natural.
《In the middle of the interview while the interview audio is playing, the scene switches to an animated scene from the music video. mxmtoon and Aloy LEGO minifigure are shown in the world of “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™”.》
《Gameplay footage of “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™” is shown.》
mxmtoon:
My motivation behind creating and writing “Post-Post-Apocalyptic Dance Party” is definitely because I grew up loving and playing a bunch of the LEGO games, and I love music.
I love getting to understand the intersection of video games and music, and it felt like the perfect opportunity to express both of those interests and loves into one project.

《In the middle of the interview while the interview audio is playing, the scene switches to gameplay of “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™” where a machine walking through a rocky area and Aloy LEGO minifigure exploring the world are shown. The scene then transitions to a battle scene from the game.》
《mxmtoon is sitting on a couch in the studio, holding a LEGO set on a coffee table in front of her.》
Tim Symons:
The game takes place in the distant future where robot-like machines roam the earth.
And you go on this epic adventure with Aloy who grows to become this awesome machine hunter.
You go on a quest to discover her true destiny.
What makes this project so special to Guerrilla is that every single thing you see in the game is made of LEGO elements.
This game is made for kids and families to play together cooperatively on the couch or online.
The partnership with the LEGO Group started with the LEGO Horizon Forbidden West Tallnecks set.
From there we went to work on the video game, “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™”.
We're always looking at new ways to expand the Horizon franchise.
We've worked with the LEGO Group on LEGO sets, “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™”, the video game.
Thinking about how we can reach new audiences and do new things with the franchise.
《Interview with Josh.》
《The scene then changes to an animated scene from the music video. mxmtoon LEGO minifigure walks with her back to the audience along a path lined with grass and trees.》
《In the middle of the interview while the interview audio is playing, the scene switches to a screen capture of the music video production process.》
Josh Toonen:
On this project, from start to finish, we're using Unreal Engine for everything.
Because the game was created using Unreal Engine, we can share a lot of those same assets.
Then the game and the music video share the same DNA.
《Interview with Tim.》
《The scene then changes to an animated scene from the music video. Scenes of mxmtoon LEGO minifigure walking with her back to the audience along a path lined with grass and trees, and LEGO minifigures dancing in a dance party venue are played.》
Tim Symons:
With one exception, which is when mxmtoon transforms into an actual LEGO minifigure.
《Interview with Josh.》
《In the middle of the interview while the interview audio is playing, the scene switches to a screen capture of the music video production process.》
Josh Toonen:
We're creating the cameras and the lights, but we're also animating everything inside of Unreal Engine.
So we're really pushing real time rendering as a way to speed up this whole process so that we can make what would require a huge team normally, and we can do it with just a couple passionate artists, just four or five of us together, to bring this entire music video to life.
Using Pixomondo's Virtual Filmmaking app, we can control a physical camera, and capture our previs and camera animation in real time.
《Interview with Ben.》
《In the middle of the interview while the interview audio is playing, the scenes of gameplay of “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™” and live-action footage of the studio are played.》
Ben McCaw:
LEGO Horizon Adventures was an amazing collaboration between a whole lot of people, including the folks at Guerrilla, Sony Group, the LEGO Group, and of course, mxmtoon herself.
The way the game looks and sounds is a testament to how you can put the imaginations of all those people together along with powerful technology and experience something that's more than the sum of its parts.
《Interview with mxmtoon.》
《In the middle of the interview while the interview audio is playing, the scene briefly switches to an animated scene from the music video where characters are dancing in a dance party venue. The scene then switches to gameplay of “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™” where a machine is walking through a rocky area and battle scenes from the game are shown.》
mxmtoon:
There were so many elements of the Horizon series that was incredibly influential to me when I was writing the song because you're provided this really rich landscape of lore and world-building through the canvas of Horizon Zero Dawn and that was a world I was really familiar with as a fan of the game and so it was really fun to kind of involve those pieces of lore and vocabulary into moments of the song whether you're talking about like the focus or you're talking about the landscape of a post-post-apocalyptic world.
So it felt really fun just to be like, naturally a nerd about the game and just involve all the elements and bits that I loved learning about while I was playing it into writing the song.
《Interview with Josh.》
《In the middle of the interview while the interview audio is playing, the scene switches to a screen capture of the music video production process. The scene of a machine dancing in a dance party venue is being produced.》
Josh Toonen:
All of us on the team, we grew up playing with LEGO sets and building them ourselves and even some of the animators on our teams, their first animations ever were stop-motion films using LEGO characters.
So, it really hits home for all of us and we're trying to capture that authentic feel of what we all experienced as kids playing with all these different LEGO sets and bringing that into this music video.
《Interview with mxmtoon.》
《In the middle of the interview while the interview audio is playing, the scene switches to an animated scene from the music video. LEGO minifigures from “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™” visit the dance party venue during the daytime, and mxmtoon LEGO minifigure is exploring the world.》
mxmtoon:
I was just like back being 15, writing a piece of music that I was excited to make, about something that I wasn't quite sure what it would be yet, but eventually turned into being a project that I'm so proud to be a part of.
《The screen changes to a black screen with the “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™” in the center.》
《An image of “LEGO® Horizon Adventures™” game package with the words “AVAILABLE NOW” are shown. Below are PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Epic Store logos laid out in a horizontal order.》
《End of the video.》
